"We do have a 'share the wealth' policy within our group, dear," Jasmine says, a bit on the curt side, still stinging from losing the quarry she had in mind. She beckons to the wheelbarrow. "Anything we earn goes in here and we'll make a good split first chance we get, or first time we have need." Her tone softens. "And thank you for trying to help with my foolhardy advances. 'Twould have been far better to have a plan, that is certain." She turns to the others. "Don't suppose you knuckleheads know that it's a nigh fifteen day difference between walking and riding a horse to Dockin? Hope you wore some good shoes. And that the bugger is still even there by the time we get there."

"I have need right now, my siblings and I have no coin to our name. And to be quite frank, the idea of sharing with a group of people when I do not even know the names of half of them is a little off-putting...I understand that that may be how you all agreed to do this before I met up with you, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the idea of splitting everything. I will pitch in to the group fund when I see other people pitching in. He dropped those coins for me, you see."

OOC: If we are going to split findings, we should split costs as well, and no one helped Gemma and her siblings while they slept in horse poo the first night...I'll share in the future, but I think Gemma will put her foot down here.

We travel together for safety and it ain't fair if I shank a goblin who's got 4 coin that I pocket and Thane takes care of one that haven't any coin at all but we both did the work of killin' the goblins. We take our fair share of coin and then we do with it what we may, that part ain't no one's business."

She stomps over to Gemma. "None of us had more than a drop of coin when we joined up. So it's damned ridiculous to say you'll chip in when others do. The pile you shook off that old man is easily 4 times more than the fullest pouch we ever found in the goblin lair."

She turns angrily to Iris. "You know what happens when it ain't fair? People like my sister never see a sliver of a coin." Jasmine is clearly overheated. "You tell me what to do, Iris. I'm 'bout to get real mad about this. In fact, this is the third time I've had to get on someone for taking what should have been party coin. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree? Maybe everyone would rather have their 'own' money and each time they need healin' you can just charge a coin or two. I dunno, sis, help me settle down, sis."

Jasmine, never one to bite her tongue or keep her cool, is heading off the deep end about the money disputes.

- OOC: Just to be clear, Jasmine doesn't know exactly how much Gemma picked up. She wasn't close enough to count them, but she could tell that it was more than just a few. Drakor and Bargundir were the only ones close enough to really see how many.

Gemma blinks. "Perhaps it would've been best to mention this arrangement before we left. Waiting for me to pick up some coins and then demanding that I split them because of an arrangement that was made before I knew any of you is completely unfair. Did you demand the coins that Dioro made from his performance last night? Did you demand a cut of money from whatever was pick pocketed in the street? Surely at least one person here swiped some unfair coin yesterday, and were you there to account for that, Jasmine? And don't talk to me about having need. I saw the amount of ale that you drank last night, when I drank water and ate beans and slept in manure. Don't you dare gripe at me for having to 'get on someone' about the money, when I never agreed to your money arrangement in the first place. If you keep having to 'get on' people, maybe you're just bossing everyone around and no one else wants to bother discussing it, because you're being unreasonable. Perhaps we should come up with more agreeable terms before we proceed, because I don't want to listen to you rant and rave every time a coin turns up. And," Gemma finishes heatedly, "don't you DARE talk to me about siblings that cannot speak up for themselves."

Gemma hurls 8 coins into the wheelbarrow with so much force that they scatter into the dirt, and turns to address more of the party. "There's your split. I'll split in the future, but I don't want Jasmine keeping the money. She's too emotionally invested. I think that independent gifts and ventures, as that was--" she nods to the coins in the dirt -- "should be kept separately. I don't expect money from Dioro for his performances, or Iris from selling poisons, or from Jasmine when she wins a drinking game. I only think it's appropriate to split money that the entire party had a hand in earning, and only if everyone is in agreement beforehand. I could not be expected to contribute to a fund when no one bothered to tell me of its existence!"

With horse-blood still dripping down his enormous maw, Bargundir gets up from his meal and canters up besides Gemma. "I assume I will be getting a split, too? I understand that I didn't help you lot raid my home, but I did help escort that treasure safely back to town ...and undoubtedly some portion of those coins were mine to begin with."

"And what about the precious ruby you took from the chieftain? I know I saw the chief's gem pouch on Jasmine's belt when we were walking home yesterday, but now I don't see it. Did you sell it? Did that get split up amongst everyone?"

"Amongst the packs of the drift, the leader is responsible for hoarding the treasure and paying the members of his pack. The strongest member of the pack is usually granted the honor, in order to prevent anyone from betraying the rest and stealing the riches. For that reason, I nominate Thane as our leader."

After looking to Dioro for a show of support, he turns to Thane and bows in supplicancy.

"Well I guess we should discuss the terms of loot distribution and create a charter for the party before moving any further. I will propose a method of both what is considered party loot and how that loot should be divided. At which point the party can either agree or make a counter proposal."

looking to see if he has the party's attention...

"First of all I have no problem with Gemma keeping that loot, she is clearly in need of some coin and while not seeing how much coin was there, since it was a bounty hunters hench it couldn't have been much. That being said...

What I consider to be party loot is ... any loot earned where it took several party members working together to achieve it. So coins dropping from a enemy combatants person, from the previous dispute as an example, would be party loot and subject to a divide."

OOC: Thane doesn't know that Gemma did anything special in this scenario, from the information he knows it is simply coins dropped from a combatant that Drakor knocked down.

"Money made through personal professions while the party member is working alone, like playing an instrument, would not be subject to party divide. Of course I can not think of every possible scenario; so as we discover new or odd scenarios, we can vote on the outcome of the loot as a party. I suggest any ties go to the party loot pile by default.

The loot will then be divided out in equal shares to the whole party. If the loot is an object, the object will be sold at which point the coins for the sale will be divided equally. At any point a party member can ask for the item to keep, if a majority of the party agrees then the party member can keep the item.

Now if at any point party members appear to be not contributing equally, like in the case of personal assistants, hirelings, henchman and apprentices then those members should receive only part of a share. At that point the party can vote on what the value of the part of that share is.

As our new member has also suggested party expenses should also be discussed. A party vote should be taken on any expenditures that are made on behalf of the party or that would somehow provide benefit to the party. If it is determined to be a legitimate party expenditure, then the cost of all party expenses should be split equally. Does anyone have anything to add or challenge in this charter I am proposing?"

They are rightfully mine, and I am only bothering to share because of the fit that Jasmine is throwing. Although, if what Bargundir says is true, you all have more to complain about than she does. Bargundir seems to be one of the more trustworthy members of this group, in my opinion." She glances at the warg and smiles. "So, from this point on, we'll split things into eleven equal shares. That should cover everyone equally. Bargundir, if you trust me, I will carry your share. I do not know who else to trust, to carry the party's coins...as long as it isn't Jasmine. I stand behind what I said earlier--she is too volatile and attached to money."

Merrill shrugs and nods in agreement. "I don't have a problem with you keeping that there since our pockets are all pretty full and there are three of you. I think your...very detailed policy will work as well Thane. I think we need to be more clear about our plans for attack though. During the fight I got the impression we weren't all for attaching them? I'd rather know our purpose before an ambush in the future. I'd have been unhappy if they turned out to be innocents."

"My dear sister, I serve a greater good than material pleasures. As long as I have food in my belly, a place to rest my head and a candle to read by, I will be fine. The great Wodana provides for me, and through me She keeps us all alive." With that out of the way, Iris moves on to her next point. "Jasmine, you know that I would never charge a person in need. Sometimes you get riled up over the smallest things. You have too much of father in you. It has always gotten you into trouble."

Turning to Thane. "I am fine with your suggestions and I will try harder to keep Jasmine more level-headed in the future." Iris states softly with a slight head dip.
Then to Gemma, "I apologize for my sister's brashness. In Zargos before we left, everyone referred to her as Fire and me as Ice."

- OOC: JTBC, I wasn't under the impression that he was actually made leader. Bargundir suggested it, but nobody else supported the notion of even having a leader. Plus, Thane's proposal calls for a group vote to make decisions.

"Whoa, sister. You have way overstepped here. Bargundir, or this warg, did say that he thought that he saw the pouch. Not that you stole anything. Please, dear sister, put away your sword. There is no need for violence here." Iris says as calmly as possible while positioning herself in front of Jasmine. "Let's take a short walk, to cool down, before we have another... incident." At the mention of an incident, Iris touches Jasmine's scar in an attempt to get her to calm down.
