Realizing that his followers have been destroyed, he casts a quick paralysis spell on Elodie, freezing her in place ... or at least, that's what would have happened, if she hadn't already cast a "Freedom of Movement" spell on herself.

Caught off guard, the hooded men turn to face Elodie as he shouts, but they do not react in the time to avoid the fires of destruction. Each and everyone one of them is burnt to ash, incinerated in a moment. Jeremiah quickly shares a few last minute insights to prepare his allies for the coming battle. Talmut returns to the strategic tunnel Jeremiah pointed him to, earlier. Time passes. Seconds turn to minutes.
After awhile, Talmut announces "someone is scrying on us, right now."
Jeremiah reminds everyone, once again, on the best ways to fight dragons. Everyone tries to stay alert, ready to pounce on any enemy foolish enough to come in here.
A minute passes, and then ten, and then maybe thirty. All the while, Jeremiah is giving insight to his companions.
- OOC: It takes more than 4 rounds for the enemy to get here, but there's no usage limit on Hunter's Bond, so you'll have four rounds from whenever the enemy arrives.
Finally, a colossal, imposing monster reaches the cave, larger than life. It's the blue dragon! Standing in the entrance of the main chamber (straddling the stream), it takes a deep breath.
- OOC: Post your readied actions! (I assume they're readied, since you went through the trouble of staging an ambush). Nobody is surprised. Your readied actions will go off on Initiative count 15. The dragon will act on Initiative count 14.

As soon as the dragon appears, Jeremiah prepares himself for the "hunt."
Elodie blasts the wyrm with her wand, calling the fire spirits to form a vertical column of radiant holy fire, which burns the the dragon.
- The wand's caster level check (vs. the dragon's spell-resistance) = 25 (Success)
- Dragon's Reflex Save = 30. The dragon takes half damage.
Gumphrey fires one of the banded arrows from hiding. The arrow sinks deeply into the dragon's shoulder.
- Attack roll = 32 (Hit); 36 Damage
Realizing that a blue dragon will be immune to lightning, Miphelgara holds his own breath weapon, and waits for the wyrm to fully enter the cavern.
Talmut casts a powerful enchantment at the dragon, hoping to permanently hinder the wyrm's ability to think clearly.
Unfortunately, the the dragon's innate resistance to such magicks prevents the spell from working.
- Talmut's caster level check (vs. the dragon's spell-resistance) = 17 (Fail)

The blue dragon surveys the cavern, with a look of shrewd cunning in its eye. Maybe it realizes that you are too spread-out for to catch many of you with it's breath-weapon? Maybe it realizes that if it enters the room, it will be quickly surrounded? Whatever its thought process, it retreats from cave.
Almost as soon as the blue one escapes, the head of the green dragon appears in its place. It too surveys the room before taking a deep breath and exhaling a toxic cloud of green gas.
- The dragon is surrounded by a frightful aura that affects everyone.
- The dragon releases its breath-weapon in a 50' cone that catches Talmut, Miphelgara, and Elodie. Your tactical cover will grant you a +2 bonus on the Reflex save.
- Jeremiah's Will Save = 30 (Success)
- Gumphrey's Will Save = 11 (Fail) Gumphrey is Shaken, so he's -2 to most rolls

Elodie waves her wand, again, calling upon a vertical column of radiant fire spirits.
The dragon roars in pain as the holy fire burns its way down the arrow holes.

Gumphrey fires his bow, as well, but since he is no longer in-hiding, his shots are just not as accurate as Jeremiah's.

Jeremiah really has no idea how to answer Elodie. There are just so many variables.
Miphelgara interjects, "It depends on the dragon, in the same way that it depends on the person when dealing with humans. Both of these dragons are adults, however, and blues and greens are both in the middle of the chromatic hierarchy. Reds are at the top, and whites are at the bottom."
Hearing the young dragon's words, Jeremiah remembers reading that before. He just forgot.

Suddenly the iron wall crashes down! From behind it, a large WHITE dragon rushes into the cave! As it does, the air in the cave becomes bitterly cold! Although the frigid dragon is much smaller than the green one, it belches forth a frosty spray!
- The dragon is surrounded by a frightful aura that affects everyone.
- The dragon is also surrounded by an aura of cold that affects anyone who gets next to it.
- It's breath weapon is a 40' cone that hits Talmut, Miphelgara, and Elodie.
- Jeremiah's Will Save = 27 (Success)
- Gumphrey's Will Save = 17 (Success)
- Elodie's Will Save = 30 (Success)

Talmut casts a familiar summoning spell, but whatever he calls forth is invisible to the eye. Nonetheless, you can hear the summoned creature assaulting the dragon, but to no avail.
- Invisible Stalker's attack rolls = 26 and 18 (Miss and Miss)
- Invisible suffers 4 cold damage.
Gumphrey steps from the shadows and sinks his dagger into the dragon. His skin reddens and chaps immediately from the extreme cold.
- Gumphrey's attack roll = 29 (Hit); 45 damage to the dragon.
- Gumphrey suffers 4 cold damage plis 3 more damage from the vicious dagger.
About the same size as the adult white, Miphelgara moves to engage the evil dragon, snapping at it with his powerful dragon jaws.
- Miphelgara's bite attack = 33 (Hit); 14 damage.
- Miphelgara suffers 4 cold damage.
OOC: Elodie and Jeremiah can finish the round.

Suddenly the iron wall crashes down! From behind it, a large WHITE dragon rushes into the cave! As it does, the air in the cave becomes bitterly cold! Although the frigid dragon is much smaller than the green one, it belches forth a frosty spray!
- The dragon is surrounded by a frightful aura that affects everyone.
- The dragon is also surrounded by an aura of cold that affects anyone who gets next to it.
- It's breath weapon is a 40' cone that hits Talmut, Miphelgara, and Elodie.
- Jeremiah's Will Save = 27 (Success)
- Gumphrey's Will Save = 17 (Success)
- Elodie's Will Save = 30 (Success)
- Elodie's Reflex Save = 26 (Success) No damage due to her ring of evasion
- Talmut's Will Save = 19 (Success)
- Talmut's Reflex Save = 17 (Fail) Talmut suffers more 30 Cold damage.
- Miphelgara's Will Save = 27 (Success)
- Miphelgara's Reflex Save = 9 (Fail) Miphelgara suffers more 30 Cold damage.
You all realize that the gargantuan blue dragon is still out there, somewhere.

Talmut casts a familiar summoning spell, but whatever he calls forth is invisible to the eye. Nonetheless, you can hear the summoned creature assaulting the dragon, but to no avail.
- Invisible Stalker's attack rolls = 26 and 18 (Miss and Miss)
- Invisible suffers 4 cold damage.
Gumphrey steps from the shadows and sinks his dagger into the dragon. His skin reddens and chaps immediately from the extreme cold.
- Gumphrey's attack roll = 29 (Hit); 45 damage to the dragon.
- Gumphrey suffers 4 cold damage plis 3 more damage from the vicious dagger.
About the same size as the adult white, Miphelgara moves to engage the evil dragon, snapping at it with his powerful dragon jaws.
- Miphelgara's bite attack = 33 (Hit); 14 damage.
- Miphelgara suffers 4 cold damage.
OOC: Elodie and Jeremiah can finish the round.

Instead of reaching for her wand, Elodie instead uses her hands to form a pinpoint of fiery light. She directs the ball of light directly into the dragon's face.

Jeremiah's arrows sink deep into the dragons throat, whose crimson blood look all the more red as it runs down the dragons frosty white scales. Struggling to breath, the dragon raises its head toward Jeremiah with anger and disdain, as it inhales a powerful breath.
But then the fire spirits, summoned by Lady Elodie, become an explosion of fiery destruction that scatters burning chunks of dragon all around you.
Init 14
Suddenly, and without warning, the blue dragon appears in front of Talmut. The huge blue wyrm spits a bolt of lightning right into the side passage where Talmut was standing!
- Talmut's Reflex Save = 19 (Fail). Talmut suffers 54 points of lightning damage. Talmut has 8 HP left.
Meanwhile, the huge silvery head of another dragon appears at the entrance of the cave. Mumbling arcane words of power, it summons a wall of wind to divide the cavern, so that Talmut and Miphelgara are trapped on one side (with the blue dragon), while everyone else is still on the other side with the silver one.
- The wind wall is 2' thick, but as wide and as tall as the cavern. It blocks all gases and most projectiles, is difficult to fly through, and can toss/tear small items.

Inside the barrier, Miphelgara spins around to face the much older blue, swinging his powerful tail with reckless abandon. Worried about Talmut's life, the young bronze dragon unleashes his full fury upon the enemy.
- Tail attack = 22 (Miss)
- Bite attack = 31 (Hit); 11 damage
- Claw attack = 29 (Hit) 13 damage
- Claw attack = 32 (Hit) 13 damage
- Wing attack = 27 (Miss)
- Wing attack = 14 (Miss)
Mortally wounded, Talmut steps back further into the tunnel, escaping the dragon's reach. Once out of striking range, he uncorks a potions and quickly quaffs it before shouting orders to his conjured servant.
- Potion of Cure Serious. Talmut regains 15 hit points. He now has 23.
Obeying the wizard's commands, the invisible creature assails the silvery head at the entrance. You only know this because it draws blood.
- Invisible Stalker's Attacks = 31 and 19 (Hit and Miss); 11 damage.
Realizing that the silver one hasn't fully entered the cavern, Gumphrey decides to take a risk. Relying on his magical glass ring, he steps through the cave wall and emerges behind the silver dragon ... where he is able to sink his magical dagger into the dragon's unsuspecting flank.
- Splinch Rolls = 91 and 53 (safe)
- Attack Roll = 32 (Hit); 51 damage
- Gumphrey also suffers 4 damage from his vicious dagger.

As he curses the silver dragon he will quickly adjust to him as the new target and release three arrows. Hopefully it will draw his attention away from Gumph...
